3 Buyer Types to avoid if you’re a Seller
There are several types of buyers that you come across if you’re selling a home. Some might be interested in paying full price while others might not be more interested in driving a bargain – and thus not transact with your best interests in mind.
What ensures that you will be able to get a good price for your home especially if your home is in good shape is if you avoid certain types of buyers.
So, here are 3 buyer types that you should look out for, and avoid at all costs:
#1: The Bully Buyer
This type of buyer will try and gain a concession on the final price and will do everything in his power to bring that price down. Not only will the inspection be a nightmare, thanks to the endless nitpicking but you’ll also be handed a list of things that are wrong with your property especially when you’re making a presentation. If you come across someone who does these things, move on.
#2: The Zero-Percent Down Buyer
If an interested buyer does not have any money down, then it will be difficult for mortgage companies to approve a loan for the deal to go through, especially if your property is particularly high priced. This will only result in the property going back on the market again when their mortgage request fails approved.
#3: The Buyer Who Hasn’t’ Visited the Property
A golden rule when it comes to buying a home is to inspect the property first and foremost. However, there is a certain type of buyer who will make an offer by just looking at photos of your home. Don’t fall for this type of a buyer as they are only taking the house off the market and will make a decision when they want.
